Elm is one of the few timbers we don’t price online because its availability is constantly changing at the moment.
Please enter your cutting list below and fill out your details so that we can get back to you with a quote.
Please note that if you want rough sawn timber the thickness we quote may be thicker than what you ask for because sawn to size timbers are provided in set thicknesses.
We can supply Elm either cut to size or planed all round. Our European Elm is graded as 1st Quality (Sapwood no defect). This is one of the most versatile timbers you can buy and is suitable for making all of the following:
Furniture, Turnery, Woodware
Bent wood backs
- Transoms and Rudders
- Hatch covers
- Bottom planks
Cut to Size
Our cut to size timber is supplied rough sawn on the edges and ends of the boards allowing you to work with the timber as necessary. All sawn to size timbers are supplied in standard thicknesses while the width and lengths are sawn down to your requirements. There is a tolerance for accuracy here though as the saw isn’t as accurate as a plane.
Planed All Round
Planed All Round Elm is planed on all sides and cut down to length. This means that the timber will have a smooth finish on the sides whilst being rough sawn on the ends. Planed timber is provided almost exactly at the sizes requested however there is still a small tolerance allowed.
Elm timber is known for its attractive grain and brown colour.
