Covid-19 - Friday, 07/05/2021 - iWood is taking and processing orders as usual.
We're currently experiencing a high volume of orders, and with Covid restrictions in place,
we're currently working to a lead time of 25-35 working days
(some products have longer lead times as described in their individual descriptions such as All British timbers, Oak beams and other Fresh Sawn Oak products which are currently on 35-45 working days).
Please note that iWood is a wholesale timber merchant, and because much of our timber is imported to order, we have a minimum order amount of £750 ex VAT (£900 inc VAT).

Planed All Round American Ash (FAS Grade) from iWood Timber Merchants
Planed American Ash has a smooth planed finish on the four long lengths and a rough sawn finish on the ends. Our planed American Ash is slightly over length, so you can saw the timber down to the exact sizes you need.
Due to its low durability when in contact with moisture, Ash, is mainly for internal uses such as:
- Shop Fitting
- Tool Handles
American Ash timber is a brownish-white colour and can have some dark brown streaks in the heartwood.
American Ash is usually found in Nova Scotia, Florida and Texas.
FAS is the highest quality timber and is only found in African, American and some European timbers. FAS is derived from the original grade of “First and Second” and in order to be classed as FAS quality a piece of timber must yield at least 83% useable timber.
At iWood Timber Merchants we have built our reputation on supplying quality timber, ensuring you have the greatest amount of usable Planed American Ash timber possible.
iWood is fast becoming the UK’s premier timber merchants. Our website is designed to give you prices faster than anyone else at prices you’ll love. Plus, you’ll instantly receive even better timber prices by signing up for one of our easy free website accounts.

FAS Quality American Ash Planed All Round from iWood Timber
Our timber is imported straight from sawmills on the continent. Our usual lead times are therefore 14 - 17 working days.
Delivery cost varies by location. Please click here to open our delivery cost page in a new window.
Our delivery lorries visit different parts of the country on different days, so once your order is ready we will work with you to arrange a delivery day for when one of our lorries is in your area. We will always arrange the delivery day in advance with you.
We deliver weekdays Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 5pm. Our delivery vehicles will have multiple jobs on them which can affect the delivery time to you, depending on factors such as traffic and how long it takes to offload the previous jobs. The driver will call you in advance with an estimated time of arrival to make sure you'll be there.
Aside from delivery locations that are priced on application, your delivery will be provided with means of offloading from the truck. This may be by HIAB (lorry with a crane arm), or by supplied manpower. The method will be determined by the haulage company we use based on your location and available options at the time. Please note, both offload options will drop your order to the side of the lorry, they won't be able to carry it around the back of a property, for example.
For areas that are priced on application, by default, we will quote for delivery on a flat-bed lorry that you'll need to arrange to offload yourself. We can quote for offloading on request, but to these areas it's usually prohibitively expensive, and cheaper for you to hire a forklift, or arrange to have enough people on-site to offload.
The ordering process
After placing your order securely online you receive an email confirming the items you have ordered. When your order has arrived at iWood HQ and is ready for dispatch, we will give you a call to arrange delivery.
