Product Description
Select & Better Planed All Round Dark Red Meranti
Planed Dark Red Meranti is supplied with a smooth planed finish on the four long sides and is ready for you to work with. The timber, as the name suggests, is red-brown to dark red and slightly durable which makes it more useful for interior work such as:
- Interior joinery
- Furniture
- Interior framing
- Drawer sides and backs
Supplied in the Select and Better Grade, this timber is used indoors regularly and the planed Meranti can be finished well, however, when working with the timber there can be a blunting effect on tools. Meranti also takes well to fixings, so, can be glued and nailed into place well.
Our Planed Dark Red Meranti is cut to size and then planed down to your specification so you get the timber ready to work with. The plane leaves the timber smooth on the two sides and both faces, although, the ends are left rough sawn and slightly over length for you to cut down on site.
We recommend that you get prices for the lengths you require rather than ordering longer lengths that you are then going to cut down. This is because it is harder to match the grade across longer lengths which means the longer a piece of wood is the more expensive it is per meter.
At iWood Timber Merchants we have built our reputation on supplying quality timber, ensuring you have the greatest percentage of usable Dark Red Meranti timber possible from your delivery.
