Why are the 'per m2' and 'per m' prices approximate?
Your total price is accurately calculated from a cubic metre rate based on the actual total volume of timber in your decking, rather than from a stored square metre or running metre rate.
In order to show the price per square metre and the price per metre, we divide the total cost by the number of square metres and linear metres respectively. Due to rounding, this may mean that the square metre or linear metre price may be out by a few pence if you manually multiply it be the number of square or linear metres. The total price shown is accurate and we show the square metre and linear metre prices for comparison.

Some popular alternatives
Itauba Decking
Itauba is a tropical timber which is ideal for decking projects. The colour of the timber ranges from a yellowish- brown through to a deep dark brown colour. It’s an exceptionally durable wood and, like other tropical woods, doesn’t take treatment well.
Found in the tropics of Brazil, Itauba, is notoriously dense. It can be used for garden decking and boat decking, so can handle a large amount of use. Even when installed the moisture movement in the timber is low, this means that it doesn’t warp easily.
The advantage of buying our machined decking is that you don’t have to work on the timber yourself. This wood has an interlocked grain which makes it tricky to machine as it has a blunting effect on tools.
Select and Better Grade Itauba
We supply Itauba in Select and Better grade. It has minimal knots in the wood, and any that are present will be small sound knots. The timber is kiln dried, leaving it in its most stable form.
The profile it is supplied in is fully reversable so you get to choose which side of the board you would like to see. You may choose based on colour, knot content, grain pattern and any other aesthetic properties you can determine.
Fixing Itauba Decking
It is important to pre-drill any holes in your Itauba decking before fixing it because the wood is likely to split. Make sure to use stainless steel nails or screws for fixings, anything else will react poorly with the tannins in the timber, resulting in blue stains and rusted metal.
The boards are laid out with a gap in between, usually 6mm or under, a gap any bigger would result in items like chair legs falling through.
Although the timber doesn’t take well to treatments, despite that though its lifespan is still very long.
The Itauba Tree
The tree is distributed across Brazil and is available from well managed sources however it is important we protect it and cultivate it properly. This is so that we can all enjoy this exceptional timber.
The Itauba tree stands between 30-40m tall and can have a diameter up to a 1m.
What do our customers say?
Had some oak from you before and was excellent quality.
- Derek Maslen
I felt the ordering process was very straightforward, your pricing very good and response when requesting a sample was very prompt
- Steven Boyd
Pleased with the quality of oak and price, and very friendly and helpful staff when you collect. Thank you.
- Bryan Martin
Just a quick line to say thanks for the swift delivery of the ash I ordered a couple of weeks ago. It is now installed as stair treads/ landing and looks superb. Just one small gripe, the delivery driver didn't call me to say he was on his way which meant I had to rush over; he did help me carry it into the house though.
I think the picture does them justice.
- Stephen Barker, Spalding
The ordering process is very good, and helpfull advice given over the phone.

Some commonly asked questions
Lead times
Our timber is imported straight from sawmills on the continent. Our usual lead times are therefore 14 to 17 working days.
What are your delivery costs?
We calculate our delivery costs based on how far away you are from us, to get more information on this please check out our shipping costs page HERE.
Delivery day
Our delivery lorries visit different parts of the country on different days, so once your order is ready we will work with you to arrange a delivery day for when one of our lorries is in your area. We will always arrange the delivery day in advance with you.
Delivery times
We deliver weekdays Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 5pm. Our delivery vehicles will have multiple jobs on them which can affect the delivery time to you, depending on factors such as traffic and how long it takes to offload the previous jobs. The driver will call you in advance with an estimated time of arrival to make sure you'll be there.
Offloading
Aside from delivery locations that are priced on application, your delivery will be provided with means of offloading from the truck. This may be by HIAB (lorry with a crane arm), or by supplied manpower. The method will be determined by the haulage company we use based on your location and available options at the time. Please note, both offload options will drop your order to the side of the lorry, they won't be able to carry it around the back of a property, for example.
For areas that are priced on application, by default, we will quote for delivery on a flat-bed lorry that you'll need to arrange to offload yourself. We can quote for offloading on request, but to these areas it's usually prohibitively expensive, and cheaper for you to hire a forklift, or arrange to have enough people on-site to offload.
How do I place an order for decking?
You can place your order online by working out your price above and adding your items to your shopping basket. You can then check out and your order will be processed securely and a confirmation email sent. Once your order arrives in our depot, we'll give you a call to arrange delivery.
