Articles: Larch Wood For Sale

We have two types of larch wood for sale, British and Siberian, which are both good for outdoor use. Siberian Larch is a pale creamy white in colour whereas the British is a more Orange/Red colour. Both Larches contain knots, however, the Siberian is a little cleaner but not by much.

We supply larch mainly for cladding and beams. The character and practical uses of the timber makes our larch a great choice because it can be both decorative and constructional. Depending on what you require you can get Larch in any type of cladding profile we supply (Waney One Edge is only available in the British) so you can get the most out of your timber (please remember to treat your wood to prevent any treatment).

The larch wood for sale we have to offer is a great, cost effective alternative to Oak and Western Red Cedar. It is a durable softwood like Cedar and can last a long time as long as it is treated correctly. British Larch is available in beams as well as cladding and offers structural and aesthetic properties to your project because it is so characterful.

Uses of iWood’s Larch Wood for Sale

We have recently asked for some photos of wood, we have supplied, from our customers and the response has been incredible. We have had a wide range of project images sent through to us showcasing a range of timbers. Amongst them are some good examples of Larch we are happy to share with you.

The first example is of a tongue and groove cladded summer house.

The summer house is cladded using British larch.

We were also sent an example of feather edged cladding.

This example is of Siberian Larch and as you can see has started to weather and turn a light silvery grey.
