Articles: Mobile Website, More Packs Online, Data Protection

Morning, we have three pieces of interesting news we’d like to share with you today.

iWood’s New Mobile Friendly Website

Firstly, you may have already noticed that the iWood website now automatically resizes itself to fit on the screen of any device you’re using. This makes the site a lot easier to use on mobile phones and tablet computers, such as iPads.

As with any big upgrade, we test it thoroughly, but no one’s better at finding bugs than our daily users, so please do let us know if you think something’s gone awry.

More Timber Packs Online

We’ve greatly increased the number of Oak timber packs available to browse through and buy online. If you have the facility to work with timber yourself, you may find packs a more economical way of buying. See our full range here: https://www.iwood.co.uk/species/6/timber-packs/

(We also have a trade-only portal with access to even more packs. Get in touch if you’d like access to it).

The New General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

On 25th May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulations come into effect. This is a new set of rules that govern how companies look after the information they hold. At iWood we work very hard to ensure we meet data protection regulations and where possible, exceed them.

When you signed up for an iWood website account, you were sent an email to verify we have your permission to send you our offers.

If at any time you no longer wish to receive emails from us, you can either click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any promotional email from us, or if you’d like to change the types of email you receive, you can select your interests in your iWood website account here: https://www.iwood.co.uk/tradeaccount/interests.aspx

If you have any questions about any of the above topics, please feel free to hit reply, or give us a call on 01889 279 018.

Kind regards,

The iWood Timber Team
