Articles: The UKs Tallest Oak Tree

A 132.5ft giant oak tree on a Wiltshire estate has been named the UK’s largest oak tree. The 200 year old tree was measured on behalf of the tree register charity by an expert, it is thought that the tree is so tall because of rich soil and because it has to compete for sunlight with the other tall Oaks around it. The estate manager Alan Power said that it is “very special” to have the tallest oak tree in the country.
