Articles: Tree Recovery in Britain

Earlier this month the Telegraph reported that “UK woodland returns to highest level in more than 250 years”.

Highlights from the story state that British woodland hasn’t been at this level since 1750, more than doubling to 11,200 square miles since the end of the First Wold War. Further plans to plant 20 million trees in the next five decades should bring UK tree cover, currently at 11.8% of the country, further in line with the European average.
